Knowledge Management and Communications Specialist: Mekong River Basin Climate Change Adaptation Program

DAI seeks a Knowledge Management and Communications Specialist for an anticipated USAID-funded Climate Change Adaptation project on the Mekong River Basin, covering communities in Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. The project aims to strengthen human and institutional capacity to develop and implement climate change adaptation plans and strategies; strengthen policies, tools, methodologies, and practices for ecosystem services valuation and climate resiliency; demonstrate and scale-up model actions for integrated approaches to climate change adaptation, and sustain regional learning networks to share and replicate best practices. The position will be based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Recommended Qualifications:
•Proven experience in direct communications and outreach including established professional work with radio, print, and other media in Thailand, preferably involving multi-national or regional activities encompassing coordination with multiple program partner institutions
•Must demonstrate exceptional experience in desktop publishing software as well as proven knowledge of web design or web upkeep
•A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in communication, advocacy, public relations, and knowledge management is required
•Subject matter expertise in global climate change issues preferred
•Must have a degree in communication, knowledge management, information management, public relations or related field of study and is expected to possess experience working in complex environments involving multiple organizations
•Must demonstrate exceptional written and oral communications skills in English
•Must be familiar with USAID rules and regulations
•Must be fluent in Thai.
