As Business Development Manager Northern Europe you are responsible for the Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Finnish markets for both Zoover and MeteoVista. You create new business and actively seek strategic and syndication partners. You make and develop new contacts while also maintaining your current relations. You take part in international fairs and conferences, provide various marketing activities in cooperation with the Communication & P.R. department and actively think about Social Media in your own work field. •You are creative and constantly looking for new partners and new markets; •You sell advertising space on the websites through display advertising & adlink contracts. You translate sector wishes and create new opportunities for your cooperating partners; •For the relevant markets, you direct the Site Managers who are responsible for screening Zoover reviews, the weblogs, polls and the tracking and optimizing of the Google Adsense results; •You motivate the team around you and create a culture based on quality and continuous improvement; •You contribute to profit and revenue growth; •To achieve this you exercise seniority in your work and draw on your experience and knowledge of the Scandinavian market; •You are independent, stress resistant, solution oriented, persuasive and pragmatic. The ideal Business Development Manager possesses: •Linguistic talents, is fluent in written and spoken English and Danish and/or Swedish; •Higher Vocational Education or academic level of working and reasoning; •Powerful communication and presentation skills (in both English as well as one of the Scandinavian languages) •Strong commercial qualities; •Experience with contracts and contract negotiations; •Natural leadership and persuasion skills; •Experience in the travel industry; •Excellent social skills; •Empathy for local conditions and culture; A network in the international travel industry is an advantage. Today more than 60% of the visitors are from abroad. The Scandinavian market is an important growth market for Zoover. Zoover wants to attain a top position in the travel sector within 3 years. Meteo Vista is one of the largest publishers of weather information in the Netherlands with products for the consumer (Weeronline.nl and Meteo Vista websites in more than 10 European countries) and for the business market worldwide. WeerOnline is and has been for many years, the largest, most comprehensive weather site in the Netherlands and is consulted more than 100 million times a year. The deployment of new MeteoVista websites in (Northern) Europe is an important development for 2012.
