We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a professional and experienced corporate on-site Travel Consultant. You will be based at a client location to service one of our most well respected corporations in the Troy Michigan area. This is an excellent chance for you to join a growing travel team.
The Consultant will ensure optimal customer service through effective use of all computer systems and tools while maintaining positive telephone service techniques to employees and VIP clients.
Position Description:
o Handle/Arrange all domestic & international travel related requests for air, rail, hotel and ground transportation.
o Demonstrates a highly professional attitude and personal presentation in all verbal and written communications
o Maintain and promotes professional and courteous client relations by managing a prompt and accurate response to telephone and email communications
o Counsel clients on most efficient routes, lowest available fares in accordance with client policy, and preferred carrier usage
o Achieves individual and contractual service level goals as related to telephone, email, quality and productivity
o Customer service issue follow-up and resolution
o Assist with exchange rates and travel products/service. Visa/Passport processing as required.
o Will serve as first point of contact for travelers, traveler arrangers, and travel managers. Providing support for customer service and technical issues
o Attend team meetings and training meetings for updates on process and procedures both internal and external
o Adheres to all quality standards in delivering customer service including telephone/email etiquette and follows all outlined customer service escalation procedures
o Process voids, refunds, exchanges
o Monitor, sort and work all assigned GDS and queues daily to maintain quality control
o Flexibility to work any shift as needed at corporate on-site location
o Strong teamwork and flexibility
o Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, high level of accuracy & efficiency including ability to develop, offer, and execute multiple itinerary and pricing options
o Performs other duties as assigned
Skills:
o 4 years of recent Corporate Travel experience. Emphasis on International booking practices and theory. Either in a Travel Office or Call Center
o Highly experienced in reading, defining and applying International tariff, taxes, hub utilization and explicit knowledge/application of International airline contracts
o An outstanding customer service focus
o Able to work in a fast paced environment, and multi-task several duties
o Ability to work autonomously and independently, combined with creative problem solving skills
o Demonstrate strong organization and efficiency skills
o Demonstrates strong aptitude/understanding for booking highly international itineraries
o Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task while maintaining exemplary detail accuracy under pressure.
o Demonstrates a high-level of skill in international reservations, reissues/exchanges, split ticketing and proven 1st class customers service
o Understanding of Concur is helpful
o 4 years of experience using a GDS
