Job description

We are looking for a creative, energetic Executive Chef who is able to lead a the culinary brigade for this 5* Hotel in Egypt. The ideal candidate should bring with him an International 5* hotel background, exposure to a volume operation with multi outlets, plus Middle Eastern experience would be preferred. The hotel boasts various F&B outlets with and has banqueting & outside catering facilities. This position would suit an Executive Sous Chef looking to take the next step.

This position reports directly to the General Manager and carries the following responsibilities amongst others:

Manages the entire kitchen and stewarding staff ensuring proper food preparation and sanitation

Comply with all statutory and internal requirement in matter of hygiene and food safety

Plan and organize efficiently the work schedule to the most productive manner

Liaise with HR on all employees matters including recruiting and interviewing

Is responsible for the control of the food cost and other expenses of the department

Develop and train a team of proficient and qualified professionals

Create, develop, implement new recipes and creative ideas to stimulate the business – ongoing concept development

Prepare the departmental budget, plan all new projects and other development in order to improve revenues and quality

Salary US$ 48,000 net plus full expat benefits (Single Status preferred).
