The role: Technical Account Manager
Technical Account Managers combine technical and entrepreneurial skills to provide the critical link between the lab and Google partners around the world. This is a technical role where you will build successful, long-term relationships with our partners and help to transform collaborative ideas into tangible products. Your ideas, input, and technology experience will solidify Google’s strategic partnerships across a variety of product lines, including AdSense/Search, Mobile, Content Acquisition, YouTube/Video, and E- commerce. You are self-motivated and comfortable assuming responsibility for all aspects of the partner relationship, including technology integration, launch, optimization, and renewal. You are creative and ardent about the search and advertising industry and ideally bring expertise in one or more of the following vertical markets: mobile (applications and content, not networking/hardware/infrastructure), video, search, e-commerce, email, ISPs, VoIP and telephony, or content acquisition in any industry.
Responsibilities:
Identify, drive, and optimize the revenue flow from new business opportunities by leveraging Google technologies.
Perform implementation reviews, evangelize new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Development and Engineering.
Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
Analyze and optimize the revenue flow of existing partners.
Requirements:
BA/BS preferred in a technical field with a strong academic record.
Proven hands-on experience of Internet products and technologies.
Depth of experience in XML, HTML, JavaScript, and/or Unix/Linux.
Strong team player, and a creative thinker.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
Excellent written and oral business communication skills.
