CONTROLLER



Our client is a robust faith-based, non-profit organization dedicated to breaking generational poverty cycles in the Central and Phillips neighborhoods of South Minneapolis.



Founded in 1993 and serving more than 3,000 children, youth and adults annually it offers a safe place for program participants to identify and overcome obstacles, discover faith, connect with caring staff and be empowered and challenged to make positive life choices.



QUALIFICATIONS:



· Four-plus years of experience which demonstrates a capacity to develop staff, and manage day-to-day accounting functions including AR/AP, bank reconciliation, month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial statements within a $2.5M to $5M organization.

· Experience with IT initiatives and leading accounting software implementations and upgrades

· Ability to create and present to key managers, the board of directors, and outside community professionals relevant financial data necessary for budgetary and financial decisions

· An outgoing and confident self starter capable of working independently

· Practical and hands-on orientation, providing solutions in the organization’s best interest

· An ethical, grounded, mission-oriented person passionate about improving the lives of the less fortunate

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
