We are currently seeking an Installation Specialist to join our Bally team in Rome, Italy.
Job Summary:
The person in this position is responsible for assisting clients and classifying issues for software and hardware matters related to upgrades, installations, and field services. This position is also expected to follow through with problem resolution techniques
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides high-quality customer service to clients
• Answers questions about software installed at customer sites
• Specializes in connection issues and understands how most users interface with the software
• Partners with systems personnel, as needed, to resolve client issues
• Upgrades customer software to newer versions
• Instructs customers in the use of the software
• Follows-up with customers, as needed
• Tests new software before upgrading customer systems
• Provides support to other Bally personnel, as needed
• Troubleshoots software, hardware, and network configuration for clients having problems installing, using, or upgrading software
• Logs calls and contracts with customers and keeps track of actions taken
• Recommends solutions to frequently occurring problems with the software
• Remains abreast of new technology and software
• Works with other staff members to resolve problems and review suggested/requested site software changes for appropriate approvals and site needs
• Travels to customer sites to assist or train them on the software
Qualification Requirements:
Training and/or Experience:
• One year experience in a technical capacity related to computers and casino operations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Working knowledge of UNIX, Microsoft software applications, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft SQL
• Knowledge of slot machine surveillance
• Knowledge of cage and audit procedures
• Problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with little or no supervision
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Marketing classes or background preferred
