Senior Commercial Manager – Asia (Japan/China)

Located: Shanghai/HK/Tokyo

Reports to: Regional Director

Our client is a world leading Alcoholic Beverage Company seeking to increase and develop their product brand awareness and sales across the Asia region with a focus on the China and Japanese markets

Responsibilities

* Accountable for delivering the P&L responsibility for the product units in selected key Asian markets

* Responsible for achieving and exceeding sales profit goals in the assigned countries

* Independently build and drive sales across the region with a focus on managing and expanding key distribution channels in the region

* Engage distributor partners to create exceptional marketing and sales plans that activate the approved strategy

* Act as the brand champion constantly seeking ways for the brand to be more innovative and grow faster and more profitably

* Operate in a marketing function in Bran Marketing to continuously monitor, manage and drive the brand across the region

* Compliance with contracts and working with key distributors to ensure smooth operations across the region

* Monitor the competitive landscape and grow the business with the management teams in China and across Asia.

* Collaborate with teams in other regions to develop best practice strategies and share success projects for the global business.

Requirements

· Five plus years plus of management experience preferably related to the Spirits Industry or FMCG industry / consumer goods considered

· Bachelors degree in business discipline is required – Masters / MBA preferred

· Flexible and adaptable to different management styles and experience in dealing with multi-cultural societies

· Proven ability in Managing distributors and other external relationships

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong teamwork skills and good networker

· Highly self motivated, able to work with autonomy and proactive

· Commercially astute & numerate

· Be prepared to travel extensively and work very flexible hours

· Office IT skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
