Shanghai, China: Family Doctor (Part-Time) and (Full-Time)
Qualifications:
Board Certified/Board Eligible (or equivalent) in Family Medicine or Equivalent
Education and/or Experience:
• Doctor of medicine degree (or equivalent) from an approved school of medicine
• Completion of residency training in Family Medicine (or Equivalent) at a hospital and program acceptable to the Department Chairperson and Chief Medical Officer
• Minimum 3 years experience post-residency in the clinical arena preferred, and more than 1 year international clinical training is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Examine, diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases and injuries within the scope of Family Medicine in both the outpatient and inpatient setting.
Prepare and review case histories and obtain data through interviews. Examine patients and determine x-ray examination and clinical laboratory tests required. Interpret test results and evaluate examination findings.
Conduct ward rounds and prescribe therapy. Administer and prescribe treatment such as antibiotics, drugs, and compresses.
Perform minor surgical procedures. Determine need for and assist in specialized medical care and treatment.
Work on quality improvement activities within the department in collaboration with other Family Medicine Physicians and Chief Medical Officer.
Work closely with the Chief Medical Officer in supporting facility goals
May be granted additional responsibilities based on consultation with Chief Medical Officer.
Language Skills:
• Fluency in English required
• Fluency in Mandarin preferred
