These are non-remote, full-time positions located in Bangalore, Karnataka - India Definitely get in touch if: • You combine a strong overall computer science background with a passion for web development, particularly Ruby on Rails (and familiarity with PHP). • You're equally at home writing complex SQL queries, architecting scalable rails services, and building beautiful html/css/javascript interfaces. • You've demonstrated your abilities writing top-quality web or open source software. • You have a strong product sense and excellent technical judgement. Resposibilities: • Design, develop, test and deploy production-ready applications and scripts with Ruby and Ruby on Rails. • Support and maintenance of existing in-house application, client web apps, and new application development. Requirements: • Computer Science degree • 2+ years of work experience in software development • 2+ years of Ruby on Rails development • Strong knowledge of MySQL and databases • Advanced javascript knowledge • Strong understanding of web standards, front-end web programming, and full stack engineering • Experience with scaling and security • Experience with Test Driven Development • Experience with Git and version control • Enjoys working in a fast paced startup environment • General familiarity with unix and basic system administration Stronger Candidates Will Have: • Experience with cross-browser semantic HTML and CSS, up to date with HTML 5 and CSS 3 a plus • Experience using jQuery and jQuery UI to create rich user interfaces with JavaScript a plus About NextBiT: NextBiT Computing is a leading Original Design Manufacturer(ODM) and provider of licensable connected consumer electronic product designs, intellectual property solutions.
