Technical Director (Game Company, Shanghai)

Responsibilities:

-Manage the programmer team, the R&D team, the IT team, and the technical artist/animator team.

-Select, analyze and choose the technologies used in the studio.

-Recruit and train new programmers, IT, and technical artists/animators.

-Manage priorities, establish priorities.

-Effectively produce codes for games.

-Promotes and coordinates technical knowledge harvesting within the organization.

-Tracks and identifies new opportunities to improve our methodology and training offerings.

-Enforces standard policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience & Training required:

Degree holder or above, major in computer science or equivalent.

-Strong computer science background.

-At least five years game engine programming experience.

-Extensive knowledge of all areas of game technologies including 3D graphics, animation, collision, physics, 3D sound, game code, AI, network, game production pipeline and tools, etc.

-Proficient in C, C++.

-At least two years tech-team management experience.

-Ability to think and act strategically.

-Have shipped games on console ( preferred next gen)Excellent management skills.

-Excellent oral and written English.

-Excellent working attitude, excellent self-learning and problem solving ability.

-Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

-A passion for creating and playing games.
